Lauren is also a Registered Sanitarian with 19 years of experience inspecting commercial pools in Florida and investigating recreational waterborne disease outbreaks. As a CPO Instructor, Lauren participates in several PHTA Committees and Councils and has received multiple awards, including the 2024 Pool Nation Trainer of the Year. She has been an adjunct instructor at Valencia College for the past five years, teaching the CPO® Course as part of their Residential Maintenance Technician certification. Lauren writes a monthly column for Service Industry News and started as the official CPO Instructor for California's Pool & Spa Apprenticeship Program in 2021. She is also an authorized OSHA trainer for OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 courses, aiming to improve safety and health in the aquatic industry.
